12 days – Selous Luxury Safari and Zanzibar

Explore one of the world’s last wild places on safari in Tanzania’s Selous Game Reserve. Then, fly to Zanzibar for a seven-night stay in the Indian Ocean.

Tanzania has seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Selous Game Reserve. This 45,000-square-kilometer natural wilderness is a pristine sanctuary teeming with wildlife, with a diverse flora and fauna. While on safari, elephants, buffalos, and lions, as well as giraffes, cheetahs, hippos, and crocodiles, may be seen.

Selous Game Reserve is home to over 350 bird species and a third of the world’s population of the rare wild dog. Leave the harshness of nature behind for the escapism of Zanzibar’s island life. Zanzibar has managed to retain its African charm despite its growing reputation as East Africa’s best beach destination. You are free to roam the island at your leisure.

It is home to the world’s largest population of big game, including elephants and buffalo. Wildebeest, eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard, and lion are among the animals found there. There are approximately 350 different bird species. The Rufiji River and its tributaries cut through the park, creating rolling savannah woodlands, grassland plains, and rocky outcrops.
