Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha, Kilimanjaro
Tanzania welcomes you! You will be met by your Tanzania Specialist guide at Kilimanjaro airport, who will transport you to your first hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore Arusha as you please!
This is a one-of-a-kind private safari. Not only will you receive expert advice from a private travel expert, but you will also have complete control over the itinerary. Whether you’re a morning person or not, talk over your plans with your guide on the first day.
Your Tanzania safari will begin the following morning!
Tarangire National Park, Day 2
After a restful night in your luxurious Arusha hotel, your guide will pick you up in the morning and drive you to Tarangire National Park for a full day of game viewing. Tarangire National Park is one of Tanzania’s most authentic safari destinations, with fewer tourists than other nearby hotspots. Herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen drinking or taking mud baths around the Tarangire River, which is home to the world’s largest concentration of elephants.
There are a few reasons why you should prepare your cameras for Tarangire. Among the things to see in Tanzania are rolling hills with big Baobab trees against a sky that looks like it could be blue, as well as herds and herds of wild African animals.
Serengeti National Park (Days 3–4)
Your safari to the Serengeti National Park continues today. Its stunning landscapes have served as the backdrop to some of the world’s best nature documentaries, making it one of Africa’s most well-known national parks. It’s easy to understand why. The endless plains and abundance of wildlife on the Serengeti are unrivaled. With over a million migrating wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, the annual Great Wildebeest Migration is a sight to behold.
Across the plains, you’ll search for the herds with your personal guide. In addition to the migratory animals, you will see a variety of Tanzanian animals. Expect to be blown away by the natural beauty of Africa’s most famous park, which is home to lions, cheetahs, leopards, and more.
Looking for a one-of-a-kind Serengeti experience? Arrange a hot air balloon safari to see the Great Migration from a different vantage point. Here’s where you can learn more about the Serengeti National Park.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
A private drive to the famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area kicks off day 5 of your Tanzania safari. Another Tanzania hotspot teeming with fantastic wildlife, this collapsed volcano creates a unique ecosystem with a wide variety of vegetation. Your expert guide will take you down to the Ngorongoro Crater floor after you arrive at the crater rim.
Take in the breathtaking sights of Africa at its best, including elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos, and – if you’re lucky!–the rare black rhino. This is one of the best places in Africa to see all five of the continent’s Big Five. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders due to its natural beauty.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers a variety of additional activities, including a visit to a traditional Masai village. Do you want to include a Tanzanian adventure in your travel plans? The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a must-see!
(Days 6–10) Zanzibar
The final leg of your journey is for rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation. After breakfast, you will be picked up and prepared to relax and enjoy the laid-back beach life on the tropical island of Zanzibar. Zanzibar is a paradise on earth. There are miles and miles of white sand beaches dotted with palm trees, all surrounded by the Indian Ocean’s clear azure water.
Enjoy the last few days of your Tanzanian adventure at your leisure. Explore the incredible coral reefs and swim among thousands of colorful tropical fish, grab a surfboard and hit the waves, or simply relax and enjoy the sun with a coconut in hand. Here’s where you can learn more about Zanzibar Island!
Zanzibar-departure (days 10-11)
